UW School of Design | Classes in intro and advanced Interaction Design and Video Storytelling
Education, and individual educators, changed my life. Without them, I would not be where I am today and would likely not be doing things that I love.
Knowing this value, I’m honored to have had the opportunity to teach four classes over the years at the University of Washington School of Design. In all these classes I worked to teach my students to focus on the human first. One of my favorite classes included students across disciplines – marketing, engineering, the information school, and of course design. The diversity of perspectives enriched all of us.
We need people to not only think in a human-centered way, but to embody it. If we can achieve this, we will have the opportunity to make change and create something much greater than we could have done on our own: save a life, feel joy, create purpose.

UW GIX | Mentoring UW GIX technology innovation project – Fall 2024
The University of Washington’s Global Innovation Exchange (GIX) is a joint initiative of UW’s College of Engineering, Foster School of Business, and leading technology companies including Microsoft, Amazon, Meta, and others. The semester-long engagement provides students with hands-on experience, fosters innovation and partnerships, and provides opportunities to jointly develop innovative solutions. https://gix.uw.edu/.
The project is to improve the visitor experience of the East Campus garage, and the GIX student team will determine what specific problems to solve.
