Philips | Ultrasound – Lumify product management

My task was to bring a new Lumify release to market. Coming from UX, I took a proactive approach to learn about what was needed for this release. When new technical challenges changed the form factor, I wanted to ensure that these changes would not affect the clinician or the patient. After a series of customer contextual research sessions, I crafted a proposal and a series of basic low fi prototypes to do generative design with users. This established a baseline for the design scope.

 

Out of this process came innovative solutions that could be applied to our Android solutions and address customer feedback issues. For example, adding affordances of handles, hooks, and brackets for cables and the inducer reduced the potential for damage.
