Cardiac arrest affects more than 350,000 people a year in the US. Broad AED training is foundational to improving outcomes. Effective training is challenging, as it is difficult to emulate a real-life scenario. Additionally, many people understandably fear the very thought of being put in a situation to save a life.

To help prepare people, and to help guide them through these difficult situations, we crafted a set of solutions. The first component was a set of virtual training tools to help people practice and prepare in the comforts of their own home and at their convenience. This could also be used as a remote training service for distributors. The second component was utilizing realtime 911 support through the AED itself to lead and guide a person through a cardiac arrest situation. Both solutions are meant to help move the needle on lay-user response to sudden cardiac arrest.
