Philips | Strategic work, service design, new business modeling
In a sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) event, time is the most critical factor in saving a life. For every minute that passes, survival chances drop by 10%. Improving outcomes require us to look holistically at the entire system, rather than just with the AED itself.
I initiated and guided a strategic effort to identify innovative ways we could address SCA, while also identifying new revenue models to ensure a healthy and self-sustaining business for years to come. An interesting discovery was learning about new rescue models that could reduce the time to shock. It became clear that “data” in its many forms and connections would help improve outcomes and generate new services for our business.
